In 2014 Taylor County Deputy Robert Lundy was involved in a duty-related incident where he took a shotgun blast to the abdomen from less than five feet away. Officer Lundy has been recovering from his injuries over the last several years, however, his family has faced other hardships with the recent flooding of their home from Hurricane Idalia.
