Help us give back to the families of those who gave it all
Join me and help make a difference, please give today.
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
For 2019 I have been provided the opportunity to represent in sport; a team dedicated to raising funds to help support law enforcement families that have given all. Those families who have suffered the loss of their loved one; a Police Officer killed or severely injured in the line of duty. What more can an Officer give to help serve and protect their citizens?
In 2018 it is stated that 150 (or more) Officers were killed in the line of duty. Keep in mind, that doesn't include off-duty deaths. Nor does it include law enforcement suicides that in fact out number line of duty deaths! So, that means; 150 families lost a loved one. How many children lost a father or mother? How many parents lost their sons or daughters? Brothers, sisters, friends, co-workers, and communities that lost someone special to them. As we all know, death of a loved one is tragic, but these Officers gave their life as part of their job. They gave their lives putting food on the table for their family, to buy Christmas gifts, to put a roof over their heads while serving and trying to improve their community.
As a member of Team Blue Line, we race in honor for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. I am proud to have been allowed this opportunity to raise money in an effort to help support those families whose loved ones gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Many of my friends and family may never know an Officer who has made that ultimate sacrifice. For me, I have known many. Is it sad? Yes, very. Yet, I am honored to have known such great men and women. Now, via Team Blue Line, I can honor their service and memory by helping other families, who too, have suffered such a loss.
Please join me in supporting Team Blue Line, a non profit that raises money for families of officers killed or severely injured in the line of duty. Any donation would go a long way; $1, $5, $10, $20. Anything. The money could go towards a swingset for that fallen Officer's children; a family vacation; much needed home improvements for a severely injured Officer....the limits are truly endless.
Through your donations, I hope to participate in several running, biking, and triathlon events this year; and at each finish, raise a flag, honoring those who can't or whom have given their life for their community.
Please feel free to spread the word, share if you wish, and donate only if you can. I completely understand.
Thank you all for your continued support of not only me, but of our fellow Law Enforcement Officers.
