As a daughter of a retired Chief of Police, I know the rewards and satisfaction that this profession offers. Unfortunately, I also know the mental struggles and financial hardships that it brings. I am a lucky one. My dad came home every night. He is safe. He is alive. This is not the story for the families of my friends Ray Hoffman and Brian Terry. Both Ray and Brian are hero's. They gave the ultimate sacrifice, just like thousands of other officers. This is why I chose to link arms with Team Blue Line - a 501C3 Non Profit. Your donations will help families of fallen officers pay for medical bills, utilities, house payments, food, tuition, etc. It will help relieve the financial burden as they cope with the emotional burden.
As I race this year, I will be doing so in honor of my dad and in memory of Ray and Brian and the thousands others that have lost their lives while serving. Please donate so that we can help these families find a little silver lining of joy amidst the dark clouds.
